Murals in the  Saint Gregory Palamas Orthodox Monastery near Perrisville, Ohio. 2020-2023

This project received Second Prize at  2022 International Sacred Art Prize Competition, organized by Catholic Arts Institute.

First phase of this project: murals in the Altar and surrounding area, were completed during Summer 2020, using KEIM Silicate Paints over lime plastered walls. After two month of preparation, all murals were executed directly on the walls in three months period, without interfering the liturgical life of the Monastery. Mineral matt appearance of this extremely durable material, together with rough surface of the walls creates authentic appearance of the ancient Orthodox church.

Murals in the cupola and pendentives were completed in the beginning of 2021, in five weeks long session.
